Donation for Orphans

By the 17 USD/Monthly we support children who are left as orphans due to warfare, natural disasters, drought, and poverty.

In 23 different parts of the Holy Quran, Allah (jj) mentioned orphans, how we are supposed to treat them, protecting them, protecting their property, and supporting them until they grow up, and He has made these duties each a religious obligation on Muslims. Besides, Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) spoke of orphans in many of his hadiths. As the Prophet Mohammed himself was an orphan, all Islamic states, and the rich Muslims of each era attached a great importance to protection of orphans.

A Quranic verse: “They ask you, [O Muhammad], what they should spend. Say, ‘Whatever you spend of good is [to be] for parents and relatives and orphans and the needy and the traveller. And whatever you do of good - indeed, Allah is Knowing of it.’” (Baqara, 2/215)

A Hadith: “If a person caresses the head of an orphan for the sake of Allah, they’ll acquire so many merits, in Allah’s sight, as the number of hairs that their hand touched.” (Ahmad bin Hanbal, the Musnad)

Within the scope of our project titled “Bir Yetim Büyütüyorum” (I’m Sponsoring an Orphan), we have been following and supporting thousands of orphans from different regions of the world. According to the latest report of UNICEF, the number of orphaned children around the world with so many war, drought, poverty and disasters, has approached 200 millions, but this number is actually close to 400 million according to nonofficial sources!

The Deniz Feneri Association’s charity activities for orphans have been ongoing for years in many parts of the world from Arakan to Somalia. The “Sri Lankan Orphanage” and the “Gazza Salam Kindergarten” are some of the examples of this support.

The charity activities for orphans by Deniz Feneri, the Goodness Movement of the Century, provide an opportunity for orphan children to grow up and live like their peers under normal conditions. The Association also supports the families of orphaned children, taking an effort to ensure that orphans grow up in their own homes. Up until today, thanks to the support of its donors, our association has supported more than 10,000 orphans, and it targets to bring tens of thousands of other children together with its charitable donors.

With the Motto “I’m Sponsoring an Orphan”, we support our children in need of compassion by finding them protectors in Turkey and around the world. Additionally, on the 15th day of each Ramadan, which is acknowledged as the “Orphans Day of the Islamic World”, our association distributes food to orphans, and give them pocket money in tens of countries in three continents.
