Due to the extraordinary circumstances we are currently experiencing, many citizens have asked: "Is it permissible to give Fitra before Ramadan?" The Board's response is as follows:

"While it is recommended (mustahabb) to give Sadaqah al-Fitr during Ramadan, according to the Hanafi school of thought, it is also permissible to give it before Ramadan begins. Therefore, those obligated to pay Fitra may provide their donations before Ramadan in cases of natural disasters or similar emergencies."
