1. Is it permissible to perform qurbani sacrifice by proxy?

Yes, it is permissible. A person may slaughter their qurbani personally, or they may have it slaughtered by authorizing another person or an institution as their proxy. Deniz Feneri Association carries out the proxies you entrust to us in accordance with Islamic procedures.

2. How can I give my qurbani proxy?

You can give your proxy through our website by credit card, via EFT/bank transfer to our bank accounts, in person at our headquarters or branches, or verbally through our phone line at 0212 414 60 60.

3. How are qurbani share prices determined?

Share prices are determined at the most reasonable level for our donors by taking into account the market prices in the regions where the sacrificial animals are procured, as well as slaughtering, transportation, storage, and distribution costs.

4. When are the qurbanis slaughtered?

Your qurbanis are slaughtered after the Eid prayer, in accordance with fatwas in the Islamic world, on the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd day of Eid. The distribution process does not begin before the slaughtering procedures are completed.

5. How will I be informed that my qurbani has been slaughtered?

As soon as your qurbani is slaughtered, an SMS stating "Your qurbani has been slaughtered" is sent to the mobile phone number registered in our system.

6. To whom are the qurbanis I donate distributed?

Qurbani meat is distributed primarily to orphan families, as well as widows, the elderly, people with disabilities, and those in need who have limited access to food due to war, natural disasters, or chronic poverty.

7. Should I donate domestically or internationally?

Yes, during the donation process, it is important to specify on whose behalf the qurbani will be slaughtered in order to manage the proxy process correctly.

10. Can people living in non-Muslim countries donate qurbani to Türkiye?

Yes, wherever you are in the world, you can make your donation securely through our website’s payment infrastructure and build a bridge of brotherhood with those in need.

11. How many people can share one large animal?

According to Islamic rules, up to 7 people can share one large animal. Deniz Feneri carefully monitors these quotas and matches each share correctly.

12. Is a share of the qurbani meat given to the donor?

In our proxy qurbani organizations, the main purpose is to deliver the meat to oppressed people who rarely or never have access to it and who truly need it. For this reason, all slaughtered qurbanis are distributed to those in need in the operation regions.

13. What should I write in the "description" section when donating?

For donations made through banks, it is very important to write "Qurbani Share Donation," along with the donor’s name, surname, and contact number in the description section to facilitate tracking.
