15th of Ramadan: World Orphans Day in the Islamic World

What is World Orphans Day?

The 15th day of Ramadan has been declared as "World Orphans Day" by the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). On this special day, Deniz Feneri organizes iftar programs for orphans and provides for their various material needs. Through our Ramadan organizations, we aim to make orphaned children in different corners of the world feel that they are not alone and to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood within the Muslim Ummah.

The cost of an Iftar meal at the Orphan’s Table is $5 per person.

What Do We Do as Deniz Feneri Association?

• We bring together orphaned families in countries struggling with war, genocide, natural disasters, hunger, and poverty at iftar tables.

• We deliver Ramadan food parcels to orphans and families in need.

• We provide Eid clothing and pocket money (Eidiyah) to orphaned children as gifts.

Our Prophet (PBUH) stated in a Hadith: "Whoever provides iftar for a fasting person will have a reward like theirs, without that detracting from their reward in the slightest." (Tirmidhi)

How to Make an Iftar Donation?

You can easily make your donation through the following methods:

• Online Donation: You can quickly donate via credit card on our official website.

• Bank Transfer: You can send your donation via Wire/EFT to our bank accounts by writing "Orphan Iftar Table" in the description.

• Mobile Banking: You can make a fast donation by selecting Deniz Feneri in the "Donations" section of your bank's mobile app.

• SMS Donation: Text IFTAR to 5560 to donate $1. (Note: SMS donations are processed in local currency.)
