Support the Oppressed with Zakat, Bring Barakah to Your Wealth!
As of 2026, Zakat calculation is based on the Nisab threshold. For 2026, the Nisab amount is approximately 80.18 grams of gold or its equivalent value in cash/assets.
Assets subject to Zakat include:

Gold Zakat Calculation 2026
Calculating Zakat on gold is one of the most common methods. If your total gold ownership exceeds 80.18 grams, Zakat becomes obligatory.
-
The Rate: 1/40 (2.5%)
-
Example: If you own 200 grams of gold, the Zakat due is
$$200 times 0.025 = 5 text{ grams of gold}
.
-
Cash Equivalent: You can calculate the cash value by multiplying the required grams by the current market price of gold in USD. For instance, if the price of 1 gram of gold is $85, the Zakat for 5 grams would be $425.
How to Calculate Your Zakat Donation

List all assets: Cash, gold, stocks, and business goods (all valued in USD).
